Carver Theater Summer Camp flyer

The Historic Carver Theater Foundation Performing Arts Program

The Treme Arts Center “Star is Born” is a Performing Arts mentoring program that focuses on development, education, and performance based platforms. We provide our young artists with the necessary tools that will prepare them to excel and compete on a larger scale. Whether preparing them for a professional career or enriching their lives through extracurricular education, we will encourage the creativity of a child while using a holistic approach in an effort to nurture a positive mentality and character.

The camp is offered at no cost and will run only 3 weeks, Monday – Thursday, July 8-25, from 9am-1pm. The culminating showcase will take place Thursday July 25 – 7pm with $10 general admission. Four professional experts will provide the students with world class instruction in the four areas of content: Music, Dance, Acting, & Art. Students will arrive daily and not only receive instruction, but also learn all the fundamentals to successfully executing a large scale production. At The Historic Carver Theater, we want to foster the inner creativity in each child while equipping them with the skill set and knowledge needed to be an industry leader.

We are always looking for the best New Orleans has to offer in young artists to take part in our community programs. There are three steps in the application/acceptance process: virtual application, interviews, orientation.
